Cut your fuel bills borrow a Smart Meter!

If you would like to save money and reduce your carbon dioxide emissions the first thing to do is get an accurate picture of your energy consumption.  It is only by regularly measuring and monitoring your usage that you will be able to calculate the savings you will make from any investment.  At the very least you should take weekly readings of your electriciy meter - do NOT rely on your bills, they can be difficult to interpret, are not frequent enough, and are often based on estimates.

If you would like to go one step further, wireless electricity monitors (Smart Meters) provide continuous detailed information about how much electricity is being used so that you can adopt new energy saving habits to reduce the consumption of electricity.

Green Snowdonia, in collaboration with the Energy Advice Centre, have a number of Smart meters available for loan to tourism businesses in Snowdonia, contact emma@snowdonia-active.com for more info.
